About
In the past six years, I have trimmed thousands of hooves and performed
countless dissections as well as rehabilitating many chronic problems,
including Founder, Laminitis, Navicular Syndrome, Contraction, Severe
Cracks, Flares and Imbalances. My quest for natural hoofcare began with the foundering of both front feet of my 21-year-old paint gelding. The vets told me that there was nothing that could be done and that it would be best to put him down. Before making this decision, I decided to do some research to find another solution. Through my research, I found Dr. Strasser's knowledge and understanding of the hoof's anatomy and mechanics to be undeniable. I enrolled in her course and completed my studies in 2003. The Strasser certification course has proved invaluable towards understanding the internal structure of the hoof and how it best functions. This insight, along with hands-on experience, gives me the ability to choose the appropriate procedure that will produce the highest level of health and comfort for the horse as well as positive change for the hoof.
